FLEETWOOD NAMES SCOTT GRAFFT SENIOR
VICE PRESIDENT - STRATEGIC PLANNING

Nov. 12 - Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. has announced the appointment of Scott Grafft to senior vice-president - strategic planning and market development.

Grafft was most recently executive vice president - marketing and customer service for Delphion, leading its marketing communications, product development, and customer service groups. Grafft has more than 25 years of senior-level executive experience in business strategy, business development, marketing, operations, customer service management, and advertising. He joined Delphion from Engage, Inc., a leading enterprise marketing software company, where he established and led a team providing Web consultation and development services to Fortune 500 companies and also led the global initiatives group. Prior to joining Engage, Grafft served as senior vice-president of direct marketing for Flycast Communications, an Internet-based media firm.

Earlier, Grafft held senior management positions at two of the world's top advertising and marketing service agencies. He was executive vice-president of the direct marketing practice at Foote, Cone & Belding and, before that, senior vice-president of Draft Worldwide.

CHAMPION ENTERPRISES NAMES ROGER LASATER SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND MARKETING

October 17, 2002 - Champion Enterprises announced that Roger Lasater has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. In this position he is responsible for overseeing all Champion Enterprises' sales and marketing initiatives, including Champion Home Center and Genesis Homes activities.

Most recently, Lasater served as President of Genesis Homes. Genesis is lead by B.J. Williams, President of Manufacturing for Champion, while Paul Jarvis remains in his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Genesis Homes.

Prior to his position with Genesis, Lasater was President of Champion's Western Retail region. Lasater has been with Champion since 1998 when the company acquired A-1 Homes, where he was Executive Vice President.

Separately, Chris Robinson has been appointed as Regional Marketing Director. In this position, Robinson will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for Genesis Homes' Berthoud, Co., Chandler, AZ., and Athens, Texas, facilities, which produce modular and manufactured homes. Prior to joining Champion, Robinson served as the National Sales Manager for Lindal Cedar Homes and brings more than 28 years of building and modular industry experience.

ORIGEN ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF ORIGEN FOCUSä ONLINE SERVICE

November 19 - Origen Financial announced the product launch of Origen Focusä, a new online application submission and reporting software offered exclusively by Origen. With Origen Focusä, manufactured home retailers and brokers can work online to enter home only applications, receive credit decisions, requests documents, and manage their loan pipeline through several reporting features, any time of the day or night.

RUSS CORKRUM NAMED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Russ Corkrum has been named Executive Director of Home Sales for Modular Lifestyles, Inc., a California based design, development and sales organization with offices in Roseville, South Lake Tahoe, Clayton, Irvine, Mecca, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. Russ brings over 22 years of diversified industry experience that includes home manufacturing, general contracting and Retail Center management. As Sales Manager for a Fleetwood Retail Center in west Sacramento, Mr. Corkrum facilitated the sale of over 140 homes in 2001 from one location. ATTENTION COMMUNITY OWNERS

In light of Conseco's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, community owners with repossessed or vacated Conseco homes in their community are encouraged to consult with their counsel regarding becoming a creditor. Since the filing, Conseco officials report that they will still continue to remove homes from communities, liquidate them or allow the community owner to purchase them. Ground rent will not be paid. All community owners with repossessed or vacated Conseco homes should be receiving a communication from the bankruptcy attorneys shortly. CHAMPION ENTERPRISES AND NATIONAL CITY MORTGAGE FORM JOINT VENTURE

Champion Enterprises, Inc. has formed a joint venture with National City Mortgage Co., the nation's seventh-largest loan originator, to provide real estate financing under the name HomePride National Mortgage, LP. The move allows Champion to immediately offer conforming real estate mortgages, as well as VA and FHA loans, to its Champion Home Center network of 117 company-owned and 618 independent retail locations.

According to Walter R. Young, Champion's President/CEO, "Real estate mortgages have become a popular financing option for manufactured housing, now accounting for more than 60 percent of the industry's new home sales. Real estate mortgages are a "win-win-win" for customers, the financing institution and for the manufactured housing industry. SHIPMENT DECLINE FOR NOVEMBER 2002

Arlington, VA. January 6, 2003 - The Manufactured Housing Institute's actual shipments report for the month of November 2002 indicates home shipments decreased by 28.6% to 11,555 units compared to a year ago. Through the first eleven months of the year, shipments are running at a 170,300 annual rate, about 12% less than the pace in 2001. More details will be forthcoming in MHI's Monthly Economic Report to be released next week. Today's release compares with MHI's flash shipments estimate of 11,612 homes issued on December 20th.

Through the first eleven months, twelve states have posted shipments higher than a year ago, while six have remained essentially flat. The twelve states with shipments growth are: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Oregon.

Multi-section shipments jumped to 80.9% of total shipments in November, up from 79.6% in October and now stand at 77.8% of total shipments for the first eleven months of 2002.

IN MEMORIAM

Will Erhle, former President and General Counsel for the Texas Manufactured Housing Association, died November 29, 2002, after a long battle with emphysema. Will served the Texas association from 1978 until his retirement at the end of 2001. He continued to serve as legal counsel to the association until his death. Will was instrumental in the passage of the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2002 and other industry initiatives. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and industry associates.
